EqualEngineers is on a mission to make the Engineering & Technology industry more Equal, Diverse & Inclusive. They highlight the benefits of ED&I through solutions-based training, recruitment, media, events and marketing.

DIGITAL CONTENT WRITER

The founder of EqualEngineers approached me looking for support embedding a marketing strategy that increased exposure, follower engagement and ROI across various media outlets. I agreed to work on a monthly retainer delivering various content-related products, including blogs, articles and social media posts.

My work includes:

  • Researching and writing a weekly SEO optimised blog, which I publish via WordPress (internal)

  • Writing requested articles and op-ed’s for various engineering and technology magazines (external)

  • Creating and posting various added-value social media content across Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram

  • Writing a bi-monthly digital newsletter on Mailchimp with various insights and organisational updates

Mental Health at Work

The Structural Engineer

Brief

The Structural Engineer approached Mark to ask for a short article in honour of Mental Health Awareness Week.

They wanted approx. 700 words discussing:

  • Common mental health issues

  • Triggers and signs to look out for

  • Ways in which individuals/organisations can support colleagues

  • Sources of further information

Solution

Working with Mark, I developed a blog that highlighted his advice and expertise in regards to mental health at work – particularly in the engineering industry. The article was approved and published in TSE’s May 2020 issue.

Brief

The Environment Magazine approached Mark to ask for a short article for their forthcoming D+I special report.

They wanted approx. 1200 words discussing:

  • EqualEngineer’s research-based findings on men’s mental health in engineering

  • How employers can better protect and support people

Solution

Working with Mark, I developed a blog that highlighted his findings and conclusions in regard to mental health among men in the engineering sector. The article was approved and published in TEM’s Feb 2020 issue.
